The student ministry at Grace is a place for teens to gather around biblical teaching and grow in their relationship with Christ. We seek to equip our students with a worldview that is centered on the truth of God's Word and brings glory to Jesus Christ. Read below to get a brief glimpse of who we are!
Family-Based Student Ministry
At Grace Baptist Church, our student ministry doesn’t just focus on teens. Yes, of course, we provide sound, relevant teaching to students in a safe, cool environment for teens. But our student ministry, in conjunction with the children’s ministry and our various adult ministries, seeks to minister to the entire family. We believe that it is God's design for parents to be the spiritual leaders of their children. Therefore, we believe it is our calling to assist them in their God-ordained role and equip them to fulfill their ministry at home. It is our desire to partner with parents, not replace them. Our goal is to MEET the needs of families by:
M inistering to the family—We minister to the whole family by providing marriage enrichment, ministry to parents, and ministering to the children.
E quipping Parents—We provide various ways to help parents be the primary ministers to their children.
E vangelizing—We seek to evangelize the family through sharing the gospel and reaching out to unchurched families, helping parents evangelize their own children, and equipping families to be on mission for Christ.
T eaching the Bible—Through Grace Baptist’s various ministries, we strive to teach the truth of God’s Word to children, youth, and adults. We have numerous teaching ministries to help you and your family know God’s Word.
Weekly Student Ministries:
SMALL GROUPS
Every Sunday morning at 9:00 our students gather for small group Bible study, prayer, and accountability. The morning begins in a relaxed coffee house setting with breakfast and fellowship. We then break into small groups. Our middle school students take part in a chronological study of the Bible, while our high school students work through a study of systematic theology. Our goal is to equip our students with a solid, biblical worldview so they know exactly what they believe and why they believe it.
Oasis Worship
On Wednesdays at 6:30pm students gather in our youth area to hang out, listen to music, eat, and play games. At 7:00 we begin a time of Christ-centered worship geared towards teens. Our student praise team leads music and speakers teach relevant Bible studies geared towards the needs of teens.
SOMA Leadership Ministry
At Grace, students have the opportunity to not only attend student ministry functions and be ministered to, but to actually be involved in leading the various ministries we offer. SOMA, Greek for "the body", is a leadership team that students can be a part of every Wednesday afternoon. Students have the opportunity to take part in ministry teams such as evangelism, drama, media/technology, fellowship, and more.
