Who We Are
Scripture says that children are a gift from the Lord, and at Grace Baptist we strive to faithfully minister to the children God has given us. In our children’s ministry, we have a dual focus. First, we want to partner with parents by helping equip them for the high calling of raising godly children. In order to do this, we provide various parent helps to equip parents to be the primary ministers to their children. Second, we want to provide children with a foundation of biblical truth in order that they might come to know and treasure our great and awesome God. In Sunday School, Wednesday ministries, and other special events, such as Vacation Bible School, we seek to accurately teach the children the truths of Scripture in a way they can understand and enjoy.


Sunday School
Every Sunday morning, beginning at 9:00 AM, we have Sunday school for all ages of children. This is our primary teaching time, and during the Sunday school hour the children will learn the truths of Scripture in a setting adapted to their age and ability. We seek during this time to lay a biblical and theological foundation for the children so that they may have a biblical worldview.   (Click on the picture to see a list of our children's Sunday School classes.)


Wednesdays
Each Wednesday, from 6:45-7:30 PM, we have activities for the children. These activities consist of a quarterly rotation of different ministries. The rotations include Kids 4 Truth (a study on the truths found in Scripture), Children’s Choirs, and a study on missions. These rotations help to provide a well-rounded approach to Wednesday night ministries to children. Each Wednesday night there are classes in these ministries for children age 4 through the 6th grade.

What Makes Us Unique?  Ministry to the Whole Family
At Grace Baptist Church, our children’s ministry doesn’t just focus on children. Yes, of course, we provide sound teaching to the children and safe, fun activities for them. But our children’s ministry, in conjunction with the student ministry and our various adult ministries, seeks to minister to the entire family. Our goal is to M. E. E. T. the needs of families through the following ways.
Ministering to the family—We minister to the whole family by providing marriage enrichment, meeting the needs of parents, and ministering to the children.
Equipping Parents—We provide various ways to help parents be the primary ministers to their children.
Evangelizing—We seek to evangelize the family through sharing the gospel and reaching out to unchurched families. Parents are encouraged and equipped to evangelize their own children. We also provide families the opportunity to be on mission through various mission trips and activities.
Teaching the Bible—Through Grace Baptist’s various ministries, we strive to teach the truth of God’s Word to children, youth, and adults. We have numerous teaching ministries to help you and your family know God’s Word.

Nursery and Toddler Ministry
Our nursery and toddler ministry is not just a place for childcare.  The nursery (birth-18 months) is the beginning point of our church's vital ministry to the little ones God has entrusted to us.  The nursery ministry of Grace Baptist Church is a place in which infants will receive quality care, and will at the same time receive spiritual nurturing through prayer, hearing God's Word spoken, and hearing simple truths about God spoken by godly childcare volunteers.  The toddler room is a place in which children age 18 months through three years old will begin learning simple truths about God from His Word.  Just as in the nursery, this is a time and place in which godly men and women will pray for the children and begin instructing them in righteousness.  (Click on the picture to read our nursery and toddler brochure.)
