How to Become a Member

Grace Baptist Church is a covenant family of those who know the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe that God is leading you to become a member of GBC you need to do the following:

          1) Read the GBC Covenant.
          2) Make an appointment with one of the ministers to discuss
                   becoming a member.
          3) Present yourself at the end of a worship service.

How do we receive new members?

         1) By profession of faith in Jesus as Lord by baptism.
         2) By transfer of membership (letter) from another SBC church. 
         3) By statement of faith and previous baptism as a believer by
                     immersion.

How to Get Involved

At Grace, we have a simple vision—we’re all about Loving God, Loving One Another, and Reaching the World. Here’s how you can be involved in each of these things.

Loving One Another

As a church, we aren’t an organization—we are a body of believers that God has brought together to glorify Him. Scripture calls us to love one another and minister to each other. We do this through fellowship activities, various ministries to one another, and through Sunday School (small groups). Click here to learn more about our Sunday School.

Reaching the World

We are a church that is focused on the Great Commission. We seek to reach the world with the truth of the gospel, starting here in Somerset and taking it to the nations. Here are some of the things we do to carry out the Great Commission:

          • Encourage our members to evangelize their friends, family,
                      and neighbors
          • Provide evangelism training
          • Have evangelistic outreaches
          • Take part in local missions
          • Go on a yearly mission trip to a different country
